The Gyralign is a self-balancing cup holder using the gyroscopic effect. When it is shifted, the gimbals inside the Gyralign tilt to offset the disturbance. Using sturdy magnets, the Gyralign allows easy assembly of attachable parts such as the handle and tube clips without worries of it breaking apart. The magnets are crucial for they can help people, especially people with Parkinson's Disease, to attach or switch parts.

The Gyralign has a basket that allows a variety of cup sizes to be used. The gimbals have gaps in them that allow mugs to be used too. In addition, the base of the basket and the attachable handle have anti-slipping mats on them that prevents cups and hands from slipping.
